Basic Function:
Lead Operations and Maintenance team to achieve deliverables within the assigned project from Brownfield, Greenfield, Commissioning, Start-up and Handover of the running facility to Asset operations.
2. Duties and Responsibilities:
a)Planning & Supervision of project Shift Activities
Plan, priorities, allocate and supervise the activities of subordinate staff in allocated area to ensure operational/Maintenance targets are met in a safe, reliable and timely manner.
b)Procedures Development/Implementation:
Participate in the development and post-approval implementation of work packs, isolation and blinding lists procedures and practices that facilitate the achievement of enhanced efficiency and effectiveness. Conduct continuous reviews to identify enhancement potential.
c)Manpower Deployment:
Participate in developing manpower plans for the deployment of staff resources that best meet operational/project requirements and operational objectives. Continually monitor progress and priorities and make necessary adjustments to meet changing needs.
d)Maintenance Planning/Co-ordination
Participate in all project startup & shutdown planning and co-ordinate all activities to ensure that all the planned activities related to Brownfield Tie ins and Green field start up and shutdown targets are achieved.
e)Continuity & Compliance
Facilitate work continuity and procedural compliance through authorizing works, logging of shift activities, ensuring availability of cost-effective levels of consumables and providing shift handover briefings.
f)Training & Development:
Identify training gaps, recommend and implement training and development programs and evaluate individual performances in order to guide and counsel staff in realizing their potential.
g)Incident Controller:
Act as On scene Commander along with PIC during emergencies in allocated area, with responsibility for deciding on first-line intervention action with close coordination with Barge OIM/Asset OIM.
h)Health Safety Environment & Quality Compliance:
Ensure the implementation and adherence to approved health, safety, environmental and quality procedures that protect Company staff and assets and meet their community responsibilities.
i)Management Reporting:
Prepare regular and ad hoc line reports on issues setting out details of progress, incidents, initiatives taken and recommending ways forward.
Minimum Requirements
a)High School graduate and successful completion of the National Certificate (NC).
b)10 years’ experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
c)Substantial knowledge of all operations aspects of production equipment and control systems developed through operator and team leadership roles and formal training programmes.
d)An analytical approach is necessary in developing possible options for resolution of problems.
e)Good communication skills
f)Ability to work under pressure, often in isolation.
g)Good in planning, organizing, supervision, technical report writing and possess well developed PC and Software skills
