Join our dynamic team as the Head of Operations Department in the gas processing industry! This is your opportunity to lead operational excellence and safety initiatives in a full-time contract role located in Wilaya Illizi, Algeria. Be part of a mission that prioritizes safety culture and optimizes production processes while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Role Overview
- Participate in developing the entity's safety culture through monitoring insulation procedures, conducting safety meetings, and promoting toolbox talks.
- Maintain constant HSE vigilance over activities within the production center, ensuring safety in operations, maintenance, and new construction.
- Approve work permits as part of the production center's HSE program.
- Define and implement individual training plans in conjunction with the RHU Department, including mandatory safety training.
- Carry out improvement actions defined in action plans for which you are responsible.
- Ensure compliance with the Group's HSE policy across all entities and subcontracting companies.
- Manage main activities and teams including Planning, Budget, Major and Specific Operations, HR, and Reporting.
- Define and implement operating policies and ensure adherence to operating procedures.
- Optimize process settings to maximize quantities of dry gas shipped and recover LPG and condensate while ensuring product quality.
- Control material balance reports, daily activity reports, trip reports, and MAP analysis.
- Ensure proper laboratory management by the process team and implement action plans as necessary.
- Maintain contact with official entities regarding dissemination of information impacting flow rates of dry gas shipped.
- Measure facility efficiency through established indicators.
- Conduct engineering studies to resolve integrity and performance issues within the production center.
- Supervise plant upgrade work as part of the TFT II project.
- Propose and monitor internal change requests to improve current processes.
- Ensure regular updating of documentation such as PIDs, procedures, and operating manuals.
- Prepare, defend, and monitor short-term, medium-term, and investment operating budgets.
- Prepare specifications and contractual strategies while assessing unmet needs for specific contracts.
- Develop and update the site's 4-week and 4-month planning.
- Gas Processing: Expertise in gas processing operations and optimization.
- HSE Management: Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Leadership: Proven ability to manage teams effectively and foster a collaborative environment.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze incidents and performance metrics to drive improvements.
- Project Management: Experience in supervising projects and managing budgets.
- Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of engineering studies related to production integrity.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
- French speaker.
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in HSE or gas processing are advantageous.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in operations management within the gas processing industry.
