Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to business objectives through the development and deployment of innovative and effective marketing communications activities in line with global and local communication strategies, standards, and guidelines. Each day, you will be responsible for developing the marketing communication strategy and maintaining the positive image of the company and its brand and value proposition in the minds of the customers. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring relevant marketing communication strategy and plans align with global marketing, corporate, and country communications strategies and guidelines. This role will support the Local and Global Electrification Communication objectives and work as a strategic advisor to the local M&S Leader driving key communications activities for ABB Electrification business communications in country as well as SB/SP Division communications. The role is a highly collaborative role as it works with various functions and communications teams to help ensure proactive and effective communications across multiple channels and stakeholders.. The work model for the role is: Hybrid You will be mainly accountable for: • Owns ABB Electrification communication plan in country including the editorial calendar & Electrification narrative locally for trade media, digital communications and thought leadership. Collaborates with Country Communications for any Tier 1 or financial media relations requirements. • Leads trade media relations and content for press releases and social media channels. Owns content for communications channels reaching broad public, such as social, websites. Leads paid and earned media incl. advertising as well as communications channels that reach the broad public (social media, websites, etc). Reviews for approval paid and earned media, including advertising • Owns the application of the ABB brand locally and awareness campaigns, not lead generation. Localization of global thought leadership or local development of thought leadership supporting division priorities. Leads localization of communications campaigns, including ensuring quality/brand/narrative check when two or more divisions are involved. • Leads communications efforts for cross divisional events, trade shows and conferences. Build cross-business area and functional teams to contribute to effort. • Oversight & process for Electrification employee communications, point of contact for factories. Ensures positioning and impact of the electrification related content in local external and internal communications channels. Follows global KPIs to track and improve communications effectiveness across various media and channels. Maintain effective measurement and monitoring workflow for their area of scope. • Owns the Electrification business area communications budget for the country and ensures transparency and support across Electrification for the budget. Creates a community of Electrification Communicators in country • Develops local comm plan with local Marketing & Sales leadership in line with division priorities and global communication plans, and collaborates on digital marketing content/messaging with local Marketing leader • Leads communications locally for the lead division in country. Comms resources aligned with biz structure to support oversight countries where applicable

Qualifications for the role

  • Degree in communications or related field and minimum 4 years of experience in the field of Communications in a B2B and B2C environment (ideally technical/industrial environment).
  • Proven experience in supporting communication across all channels.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills. Effective storyteller.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with on-time delivery.
  • Work on measurement KPIs and reporting to help track performance and learnings.
  • Team player who thrives by contributing to the success of the team and the business.
  • Ability to travel and work flexible and/or fluctuating work hours as needed
  • Ability to navigate in a highly matrixed environment
