What are you going to do
Essential skills and knowledge
- Coordinate and track vessel installation and test events, ensuring they align with overall project milestones.
- Support the Quality Team in executing installation and testing activities across systems and equipment.
- Provide technical guidance and ensure all work complies with internal processes, DNV, and defence regulations.
- Manage Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) validation at quality gates and resolve discrepancies proactively.
- Monitor performance and functionality of key ship systems during build and installation phases.
- Troubleshoot ITP-related issues, working closely with engineers, production teams, and quality stakeholders.
- Maintain the ITP matrix and ensure version control, updates, and feedback integration are managed effectively.
- Track and close out non-conformances and installation issues across vessels.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and test coordination.
- Provide clear, regular updates to internal stakeholders and project managers
Essential skills and knowledge
- Minimum Year 12 education; trade or tertiary qualifications in engineering, business, or project management desirable.
- 5+ years' experience in change or quality management within large-scale or defence projects.
- Strong knowledge of ship systems, defence equipment, and vessel installation procedures.
- Proven background in managing installation and test programs within the defence shipbuilding industry.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and defence maritime standards.
- Proactive mindset with strong communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to handle technical complexity, navigate shifting priorities, and drive resolution under pressure.
