Essential skills and knowledge
- Review construction sequence, work plans, pre-task planning and method statements to ensure comprehensive safety and feasibility.
- Report and record potential change order requests to assist in claims avoidance.
- Oversee and inspect the Installation of electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with electrical codes, Company and project specifications.
- Provide Company representation in monitoring and coordinating site activities of the Contractor and its subcontractor(s).
- Reports on the construction activities, progress, areas of concern and mitigating actions.
- Participates in appropriate weekly construction discipline review meetings.
- Ensure construction work is carried out in accordance with rules, regulations, and standards and permit to work procedures as applicable.
- Ensure all electrical work done by the Contractor complies with relevant safety standards and Company regulations.
- Work closely with other PMT team members to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with other discipline operations.
- Conduct regular inspections on site with Contractor to identify potential issues and implement preventive measures.
- Coordinate, conduct and witness Factory Acceptance Tests to ensure electrical equipment meets project specifications and quality standards before shipment to the site and prior to installation.
- This includes preparing test plans, executing tests, documenting results, and ensuring compliance with all relevant Company standards and specifications.
- Coordinate with Contractor Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to ensure that electrical equipment is designed, manufactured, and delivered according to project specifications and standards.
- This includes reviewing technical documentation, conducting inspections, and facilitating communication between the project team and Contractor OEMs.
- Witness the commissioning of electrical panels and cabinets to ensure they are installed and functioning properly.
- This includes testing, adjusting, and certifying electrical panels and cabinets, as well as ensuring that all components meet project specifications and safety standards.
- Monitor and assist the Contractor and subcontractor(s) in the implementation of site specific SHE programs to meet safety improvement strategy & objectives, emergency response and evacuation drill programs.
- Participate in incident/accident investigation under the SHE Coordinator in the area.
- Review work and inspection results to ensure compliance with Contract requirements.
- Interface and coordinate with Field Engineering and QA/QC sections.
- Ensure execution of work is technically aligned and in compliance with Operations, Policies, Standards of Business Conduct and Project Management System.
Essential skills and knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 8 years’ experience in Electrical Engineering level with a broad knowledge of Electrical Construction work execution on LNG and/or oil-gas projects construction and operations.
- Electrical execution works experience in a brownfield environment with large utilities systems in O&G facilities.
- Knowledge or experience on similar CO2 Sequestration Project is an added advantage.
- Ability to operate autonomously on a results-oriented basis handling multiple and diverse tasks.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage constantly changing priorities.
- Proactive team player with strong communication skills, including the ability to interface with other disciplines and external groups.
- Ability to supervise or conduct work by influence.
- A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Computer literacy involving the regular use of professional office applications and some technical applications.
