Essential skills and knowledge
- Ensure accounting for non-operated JVs is in compliance with accounting principles, regulations and Joint Operating Agreements
- Provide support to the FP&P Team for non-operated JV related queries
- Preparation of JIBs working file for non-operated JVs and posting monthly JIBs into SAP
- Processing monthly cash calls received from non-op partners into SAP
- Act as an Administrator for the AFE module and provide support to FP&P for AFE module related queries
- Assist with joint venture audit requirements
- Provide support to Group Reporting as required through the completion of month end activities such as CJEs and Trial Balances reviews
- Preparation of General Ledger reconciliations
- Assist with special projects as required
- Ensuring work is compliant with all statutory requirements including tax, SOX and audit compliance, and the Woodside Code of Conduct
- Act as a backup support to other JV Accountants during leave and absences
Essential skills and knowledge
- Preferably tertiary qualification in Accounting / Finance (not mandatory or perhaps studying towards studying towards an Accounting qualification or Professional Certification
- A working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP environment
- Previous Joint Venture and SOX compliance experience will be beneficial
- Ability to work independently, organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and set and meet deadlines
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities and a Continuous Improvement mindset
- Confident communications skills both verbal and written
