Your Impact:
As a Safety Specialist, you will play a key role in advancing our safety objectives across Solar, ESS, Battery, and EV operations. Your focus will be on ensuring electrical safety standards and reducing vehicle-related incidents. This position will support operational teams, manage environmental, health and safety (EHS) programs, and lead initiatives to maintain a safe working environment. Your expertise in electrical safety and driver safety will be critical in driving our safety culture.

Core Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with EHS and operational teams to establish and achieve safety metrics, with a strong emphasis on reducing electrical incidents and vehicle-related safety issues.
- Promote and drive safety culture initiatives, focusing on zero harm in both electrical work and driving practices.
- Coach and support operational leadership, managers, and technicians on electrical safety standards and safe driving practices.
- Oversee and report on key performance metrics related to electrical and driver safety, utilizing management systems for clear communication and progress tracking.
- Lead incident investigations into electrical accidents and driver safety issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Track, report, and manage injuries and illnesses, specifically focusing on electrical and driving incidents to ensure accurate classification and timely resolution.
- Conduct field audits to ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and driver safety policies.
- Identify critical gaps in electrical safety and vehicle safety processes, and develop and execute corrective action plans to address them.
- Develop specialized training materials focusing on electrical safety risks and safe driving practices, tailored to the unique needs of the Solar, ESS, Battery, and EV industries.
- Ensure alignment with external customer standards in electrical and driver safety, fostering strong partnerships and compliance.
- Manage the driver safety program to minimize vehicle-related incidents and reinforce best practices for vehicle safety.
- Update and develop EHS procedures and policies, focusing on continuous improvement of electrical and driver safety protocols.
- Facilitate effective EHS communication, including conducting safety meetings and creating content around electrical and driver safety practices.
- Deliver specialized training on key EHS topics, focusing on electrical and driver safety to ensure comprehensive knowledge across the workforce.
Core Requirements:
- At least three years of experience in safety coordination, particularly in electrical safety and driver safety, within the Solar, ESS, Battery, EV, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety practices and specialized driver safety knowledge.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead and influence teams across all levels.
- Proven ability to drive EHS objectives, with a focus on electrical safety and reducing vehicle-related incidents.
- In-depth knowledge of federal and state regulations, including OSHA and EPA standards, with familiarity with Cal/OSHA being a plus.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a remote setting.
