Job Summary:

Micron's Facilities Team is seeking a Supervisor to ensure a safe, compliant, and ethical work environment. This role involves maintaining technical knowledge, supervising for compliance, and resolving potential issues. The Supervisor will oversee and improve area performance by managing staffing, prioritizing work, and ensuring communication and training on safety, legal, and work requirements. They will conduct performance appraisals to create goals and development plans for team members. Additionally, the Supervisor will promote teamwork by supporting, leading, and participating in department and area improvement projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Understand mechanical and HVAC/R systems, including chiller plants, compressed air, heating water, cooling water, process exhaust, cleanroom HVAC/R, and general building HVAC/R.
  • Maintain technical knowledge to make informed decisions and drive area improvements.
  • Ensure team maintains required certifications and training to perform tasks.
  • Ensure team completes assigned PMs and work orders timely and thoroughly.
  • Ensure team maintains equipment and tools in working order.
  • Assist with installation, modification, maintenance, and/or removal of facilities equipment.
  • Develop procedures and training to ensure safe, correct, and consistent work performance.
  • Accountable for area/shift performance and drive team accountability.
  • Monitor equipment and area performance to resolve issues and improve stability.
  • Ensure team identifies and reduces equipment defects to improve quality.
  • Use systematic problem-solving techniques to resolve issues timely.
  • Ensure team identifies and resolves chronic equipment alarm issues.
  • Identify, lead, and assign projects to improve area and equipment performance.
  • Lead shift/area cost reduction activities.
  • Drive a culture of Safety and Quality including TPM, Facilities Disciplines, PM procedures, and certifications.
  • Demonstrate success in motivating and maintaining team morale.
  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Proven ability to actively run area equipment and processes.
  • Proven ability to multi-task in a high-paced environment.
  • Understanding of performance management concepts.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma and/or GED.
  • 2+ years of Supervisory experience
  • Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts (3 on/4 off and 4 on/3 off) and switch from days to nights every 4 months, with the ability to move to different shifts to support facilities as required by business needs.
  • Ability to work onsite and/or outside.

  • Willingness to work additional overtime to support business needs.
  • 4+ years' experience of MS Office Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • 4+ years of industry or Facilities Maintenance experience.
  • 4+ years of HVAC, Refrigeration, Maintenance, or Manufacturing experience.
  • 4+ years of military training or experience involving technical skills in HVAC, refrigeration, or mechanical maintenance.
  • 4+ years of mechanical knowledge or experience with mechanical systems, tools, or machines.

Preferred:
  • Associate or bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of Supervisory experience
  • 5+ years of industry or Facilities Maintenance experience.
  • 5+ years of HVAC, Refrigeration, Maintenance, or Manufacturing experience.
  • 5+ years of military training or experience involving technical skills in HVAC, refrigeration, or mechanical maintenance.
  • 5+ years of mechanical knowledge or experience with mechanical systems, tools, or machines.
  • A valid HVAC/R license.
