Senior Technical Advisor - Project Systems Delivery (OPSD40)
Overview:
Responsible for the administration, design, selection, modification, and training related to engineering applications required for project delivery. Interacts with end users and business clients to resolve engineering design issues and limitations, provide solutions, and coordinate with applications development to design system enhancements necessary for project delivery. May also be responsible for evaluation of project requirements and system capabilities to provide solutions and feedback regarding feasibility and cost of engineering project requirements. Under general direction, responsible for managing budgets, schedules, and performance of subordinate personnel. Skills are typically acquired through an undergraduate degree in Engineering and a minimum of 15 years related experience, with average experience of 15+ years.

Senior Technical Advisor - Project Systems Delivery (OPSD40)

Responsibilities:
Day to day activities will include:
- Manage software agreements and relationships with key software suppliers
- Monitoring and reporting software license usage and trends and minimising spend and rationalising portfolios
- Responsible for maintaining specific software portfolio and future road map
- Liaising with end users and business customers and understanding their current and future requirements
- Keeping aware of emerging technologies by attending vendor conferences and liaising with strategic software vendors and partners
- Managing subordinate personnel globally with team members working in an agile work environment
- Managing budgets and resources
- Proving regular feedback and presentation to customers, end users and senior management of latest capabilities
- Lead and perform requirements gathering.
- Aligning digital strategies with overall strategic business goals.
- Maintain relevant product and industry segment knowledge.
- Recommend standard procedures and best practices.
Core Competencies:
- Advanced skills in MS Office tools
- Knowledge of report building (Excel, PowerPoint, SQL and PowerBI)
- Good presentation skills with experience in presenting
- Excellent management, interpersonal, and teambuilding skills
- Excellent problem solving, documentation and communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests
- Must mentor others and lead by example
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and issues in a systematic way and bring in technical aid as needed.
Desired Competencies:
- Experience and knowledge of working with Bentleys's portfolio of applications
- Understand the requirements of connected data required for digital delivery
- Knowledge of the energy industry and the tools and systems typically used within the industry.
- These systems include but are not limited to: HEXAGON, Bentley, Autodesk suites of tools and their capabilities
- Ability to network and build relationships
- Positive attitude and deadline-driven with excellent time management skills
- Existing experience with application support and development.
Education:
- University/College degree in Computer Science or any Engineering field.
- Relevant field experience and obtained skills might in some cases make up for lack of University/College degree
- Minimum of 15 years related experience, with average experience of 18+ years.
