We are seeking a Senior CEI ITS Traffic Analyst - Construction Engineering Inspection to join our team in Lake City, FL. This role will be responsible for assisting Project Managers, Project Administrators, Contractor Superintendents and project CEI's with inspections, testing and final acceptance of ITS related projects. In addition, the CEI ITS Traffic Analyst will perform ITS network and device configuration, troubleshooting ITS and Traffic equipment in the field.
Under supervision, applies knowledge of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) technology to the investigation of transportation planning, engineering and operational needs and problems, the coordination of ITS project activities, and the preparation of preliminary plans and documents.
Carries out job functions within small, project-oriented, multidisciplinary teams of ITS professionals and supports direct interaction with clients within the context of project progress meetings, design reviews, operations, and project production and delivery.
Major results expected include high-quality written, verbal, and graphical deliverables in the form of operational concepts, technology reviews, designs and specifications.

How will you contribute to the team?
• Conducts assignments that have clear and specified objectives and require the investigation of a defined number of variables. Duties usually include the following:
• Performs systems analysis and implementation consulting for external solution implementations.
• Works closely with clients, prime and sub-contractors, and outside vendors to effectively plan, deploy and maintain project environment.
• Develop preliminary concepts and/or specifications.
• Reads contract plans, specifications, shop drawings, and regulatory agency manuals.
• Observes ITS related construction work, such as trench excavation, conduit placement, fiber optic and electrical cabling operations, field equipment installation, structure placement, verify or establish network communications, concrete pouring, signalization, and lighting, etc.
• Provides technical support and coordination with the on-site team to solve technical and operational problems.
• Performs other such duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary
What will you contribute?

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or an ITS-related subject such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineerin, Electrical Engineering Technology, Transportation Planning, Information Technology, or similar technical fields. Master's degree can substitute for one year of experience.
• This level may be achieved by candidates with four (4) years since Bachelors's or three (3) years since Master's degree.
• Knowledge and experience may also be achieved by High School graduate or equivalent plus ten (10) years of experience in Traffic & ITS field support, two (2) years of which shall have been in construction or inspection.
• Some exposure to information and communication technologies, including fiber optic communication design, video systems engineering, traveler information, electronic payment, or traffic control systems. Transportation-related Master's degree/MBA is desirable in information and communication technologies and/or ITS, such as, including fiber optic communication facilities, Closed Circuit Television video systems, traveler information, electronic payment, or traffic control systems.
• Relevant experience is required in information and communication technologies and/or ITS, such as fiber-optic communication design, video systems engineering, traveler information, electronic payment, computer hardware and software, or traffic control systems.
• Good analytical and communications skills are essential, including ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and to understand contract plans and specifications. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook or equivalent email programs is desired, as well as the use of Internet and other information processing and storage techniques to support research of alternatives and the definition of design concepts.
• If position requires driving a company vehicle, incumbent must have valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company policy.

Demonstrated knowledge in the following qualifications:

- Fiber Installation Inspection and OTDR Fiber Testing
- DMS Operation and Testing
- Controller Operation and Testing
- CCTV Installation, Operation and Testing
- MVDS Operations and Testing
- Functional capability working with Existing Communication Equipment and Switches

Certifications:
• Traffic Signal Inspector (or equivalent
• IMSA Fiber Optics for ITS Level II Field (or equivalent)
• Traffic Signal Field Technician Level II (or equivalent)
• Advance Maintenance of Traffic TTC/MOT
