Job Description Summary

The Facilities Engineer/Maintenance Planner is part of the Maintenance and Facilities Team in Muskegon and supports maintenance team effectiveness, facilities, and asset performance improvement.

This role supports the performance and effectiveness of the Muskegon site Maintenance Teams through effective job plan creation, scheduling and parts and materials availability. This role also leads and supports projects requiring facilities and maintenance engineering expertise.

Job Description

  • Directly support effectiveness and development of the Maintenance Team.
  • Identify and drive projects that improve and sustain facility and asset performance.
  • Collaborate with Operations Customers to define priorities and schedule access to machinery for preventive and corrective work.
  • Utilizes Oracle APEX CMMS system to review Maintenance requests and document plans, estimates, schedules, Bill of Materials
  • Field scope each job to determine repair plan and craft knowledge / skills needed to effect proper repair
  • Identify maintenance KPIs to track and monitor maintenance system health
  • Lead PM continuous improvement through PM optimization events to develop improved preventive and condition-based work content
  • Develop and maintain integrity of documentation repository, including Equipment manuals, electrical and controls prints, plc programs, standard work instructions
  • Design and implement an effective MRO parts and materials inventory management system
  • Effectively engage contracted resources to site Contractor Management Framework


Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree or High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Industrial Technology field from an accredited university or college is preferred
  • Industrial expertise, including CNC controlled machinery and equipment
