This position will be filled at either the Nuclear and Hazardous Tec 1/2 level, depending on the skills of the selected candidate. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if the candidate is hired at the higher level.
Nuclear and Hazardous Materials Tec 1 $48,500 - $75,000
You will work as a member of the Process Maintenance and Decontamination Services Group, Programmatic Maintenance Team for Weapons Production Facilities on either the Plant Wide Decon & Maintenance Support team or one of the two Programmatic Equipment Maintenance & Gloveboxes teams. These teams are responsible for performing decontamination and maintenance on programmatic equipment and glovebox support systems to support program deliverables. The selected candidate will primarily mentor with and support the chosen team while cross training with the other. The selected candidate will support Decontamination and/or Maintenance activities and report to a First Line Manager for preparing, reviewing, and working against approved integrated work document (IWD) specific to task and location. You will work with the organization responsible for corrective and preventative maintenance of programmatic equipment, (i.e., troubleshoot, repair, and replace) as well as the decontamination, decommissioning and demolition of process equipment used at all Weapons Production Facilities.

Minimum Job Requirements:
Maintenance/Decontamination: Knowledge and experience with performing maintenance and/or decontamination activities on a wide variety of equipment or systems.
Systems: Demonstrated ability and experience working with and maintaining multiple mechanical/electrical/pneumatic systems.
Interpretation of Drawings: Ability to read and understand written or verbal instructions, drawings, layouts and other related specifications. The ability to read and understand written and verbal instruction have nothing to do with the title of interpretation drawings.
Hazardous Materials: Ability to work with radioactive and hazardous materials.
Work Procedures: Ability to follow directions that are very specific and detailed and can execute work to established procedures for routine work.
Ability to obtain and maintain:
Education/Experience at Nuclear and Hazardous Materials Tec 1: Position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Education/Experience at Nuclear and Hazardous Materials Tec 2: Position requires a High School diploma and a minimum of 3 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.

Work Schedule:
This position will require 24/7 coverage, which could involve working a shift/weekend schedule. This is subject to change. Employees may be eligible for shift differential pay when assigned by their manager. Shift/weekend assignments are at the discretion of the manager.
Shift Differential Pay:
Nonexempt employees will receive shift differential pay when they are assigned by their manager to work a regular shift in which four or more hours are scheduled either before 8:00 a.m. or after 4:00 p.m.
These shifts typically fall into two categories:
• Swing: normally 4:00 p.m. to 12 midnight
• Night shift: normally 12 midnight to 8:00 a.m
The rules governing the payment of shift differential are subject to change, including the amount of shift differential.
