Join Soiland Company- a family-owned business proudly rooted in Sonoma County since 1962-as a full-time Equipment Operator and General Laborer at our Stony Point Rock Quarry site, located in Cotati, California.

This position offers a combination of heavy equipment operation-including the water truck, skid steer, and haul truck-and hands-on labor to support day-to-day site operations. Duties may include tasks such as material handling, site cleanup, and general yard or plant support. We're seeking a dependable, safety-minded individual who takes pride in their work and is eager to contribute as part of a hardworking, team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, takes initiative, and can work effectively both independently and alongside others.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2-years of recent experience (within the past 4-years) safely and proficiently operating heavy equipment in the mining or construction industry (or similar production environment), such as: water truck, skid steer, and haul truck. Forklift or crane experience does not meet this requirement.
• Willing and able to perform physical tasks including weed whacking, shoveling, general site cleanup, and working on the recycle picking line.
• Responsible for performing inspection and minor maintenance (pre- & post-operation) on heavy equipment assigned to, ensuring readiness and safe operational status to reduce downtime. Complete associated paperwork as required.
• Strong spatial awareness around when operating around people, structures, and other equipment.
• Comfortable working at heights using proper fall protection equipment.
• Demonstrates reliable attendance, strong work ethic, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
• Committed to safety and consistent delivery of high-quality work.
• Effective verbal communication skills and ability to understand instructions in English.
• Must be 18 years or older and provide evidence of employment eligibility in the United States.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening, including a physical and drug testing.
• Must be able to perform the position's essential functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Work Schedule, Classification & Location:

This is a full-time, non-exempt (hourly) position based on-site at our Stony Point Rock Quarry located at 7171 Stony Point Road, Cotati, CA 94931. The below standard schedule aligns with our site's operational needs:

• Monday through Friday.
• 6:00 AM start time.
• 8-hour shifts, with overtime as needed based on production demands.
