Finance Manager
Job Title: Finance Manager
Location: Atyrau, Kazakhstan
Job Purpose
The Finance Manager is responsible for leading and managing the organization's financial functions, including general accounting, budgeting, cost control, payroll, financial reporting, and compliance. This role ensures financial integrity, supports strategic planning, and contributes to the company's financial sustainability and growth by aligning with corporate policies and business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee general accounting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and cost control functions.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, project profitability reports, and key financial ratios.
- Prepare and deliver monthly financial reports and quarterly Board of Directors (BOD) presentations.
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes in alignment with company objectives.
- Monitor budget performance and conduct variance analysis, providing insights and corrective recommendations.
- Strategic Financial Planning
- Participate in the development and implementation of financial strategies that support long-term company objectives.
- Develop business plans and financial models to assess growth initiatives, cost-saving opportunities, and capital expenditures.
- Compliance & Audit Coordination
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors, tax advisors, and banks to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead, develop, and motivate finance team members to enhance performance and ensure efficient operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial practices with organizational needs and strategic initiatives.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Public Administration, or Business Administration
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA are highly desirable.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of total working experience
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in a managerial or supervisory financial role
- GCC experience (minimum 2 years) is considered a plus
Key Skills and Knowledge
- In-depth knowledge of financial principles, accounting practices, and financial management
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting financial data and conducting variance analysis
- Advanced knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulatory compliance
- Proficiency in ERP systems, with SAP functional expertise preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills to manage teams and present to senior management
- Experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
