Senior Financial Analyst

Location: Atyrau, Kazakhstan

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join a leading organisation. The role will focus on financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic recommendations to support business growth and operational decision-making.

The Senior Financial Analyst will provide insightful financial analysis, build robust financial models, and work closely with senior leadership to drive business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed financial analysis, financial modelling, variance analysis, and forecasting to support strategic decisions
• Interpret financial data, industry benchmarks, and market trends to deliver actionable insights and recommendations
• Develop and maintain dynamic financial models and assessment tools to evaluate business performance and investment opportunities
• Conduct internal financial reviews and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
• Collaborate with finance, operations, and sales teams to gather data, analyse performance, and identify improvement areas
• Present clear and concise financial reports, analysis, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders
• Lead and support budgeting and forecasting activities, identifying cost-saving initiatives and revenue enhancement opportunities
• Prepare accurate financial reports, presentations, and communication materials for internal and external audiences
• Mentor junior financial analysts, sharing knowledge and best practices to build team capability
• Stay updated on financial regulations, industry trends, and analytical techniques to continuously improve methodologies

   

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related financial discipline
• Professional qualification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is highly desirable
• Minimum 8 years' experience in finance, including 5 years in a relevant financial analysis role
• GCC region work experience (minimum 2 years) is an advantage
• Advanced knowledge of financial analysis, including ratio analysis, valuation, and scenario modelling
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
• Proficiency in financial software, Excel, financial modelling tools, and data visualisation platforms
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of explaining complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting is essential
• ERP experience, preferably SAP, is a must for success in this role
