Our KBR Civil team is a group of passionate and experienced transport specialists who have an opportunity for a Civil Drafter to join our team in Perth.
Reporting to the Digital Team Lead, you will provide drafting support for various Transport, Maritime, Water, Defence, and Energy infrastructure projects, both locally and nationally.
You should have a strong knowledge of drafting using various software packages, including 12D and AutoCAD, and be confident in liaising with a range of stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and junior staff.

Civil Drafter
Our KBR Civil team is a group of passionate and experienced transport specialists who have an opportunity for a Civil Drafter to join our team in Perth.
Reporting to the Digital Team Lead, you will provide drafting support for various Transport, Maritime, Water, Defence, and Energy infrastructure projects, both locally and nationally.
You should have a strong knowledge of drafting using various software packages, including 12D and AutoCAD, and be confident in liaising with a range of stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and junior staff.
Role Overview:
- Work under the guidance of the Discipline Manager and Lead Civil to complete design projects.
- Prepare design drafting deliverables using AutoCAD with a high level of proficiency.
- Utilise 12D or Civil 3D design software to undertake design work to an intermediate standard.
- Ensure all work is completed within agreed time, cost, and quality standards.
- Adhere to Australian Standards, drawing office procedures, and industry best practices.
- Identify and resolve design-related challenges, balancing practicality, and innovation.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
- Provide technical guidance to junior drafters and work closely with senior designers.
- Contribute innovative ideas to enhance the drafting team's efficiency and quality.
- Maintain a strong focus on client satisfaction by understanding and delivering on expectations.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Diploma or Associate Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years drafting experience
- High-level proficiency with AutoCAD.
- Some experience using 12D or Civil 3D for civil design work, or a keen interest in developing these skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- A proactive approach to improving quality and efficiency in drafting services.
- Australian Permanent Residency or Citizenship Required.
