About the Role
We are seeking experienced Data Management and Business Intelligence Analysts to support ongoing business transformation and optimisation initiatives within a large-scale, project-driven environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data analysis, business process modelling, and reporting, ideally within the oil and gas or heavy industry sectors.
This position will play a key role in analysing enterprise data, building visual dashboards, supporting business process automation, and helping stakeholders make data-driven decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Build custom data models and algorithms to extract insights from structured and unstructured data sources.
- Perform data mining, cleansing, and transformation activities (data munging).
- Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI (or similar tools like Tableau, Python, SAS).
- Support data warehousing initiatives and design scalable data structures.
- Analyse and document business processes and workflows using SharePoint and related tools.
- Conduct statistical analyses and risk assessments using appropriate modelling techniques.
- Support database programming efforts (SQL) to optimise data pipelines and integrations.
- Collaborate with business units to identify data-driven optimisation strategies.
- Apply software engineering and coding skills to support automation and data workflows.
- Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Science, or a related discipline.
Experience Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in data and business analysis, with strong exposure to project management environments.
- Hands-on expertise in data mining, data modelling, statistical analysis, and business intelligence tools.
- Solid background in business process modelling, optimisation, and automation.
- Proficiency in documentation techniques including process diagrams, entity relationships, and workflow visualisations.
- Strong skills in data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Python, or SAS.
- Knowledge of ERP systems, legacy data sources, and master data management is advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and SQL-based tools.
- Familiarity with project management principles is preferred.
