The Project Manager brings a framework to organize, execute, control, and support all aspects of the various activities required to get new power generation equipment started up. Has an operational and technical understanding of power generation equipment. The Project Manager supports the Generator Sales and Service teams and the Parts Departments to a lesser extent. This is a high-paced and growing business unit with ever-changing developments and requires working and communicating with all levels of the organization, high attention to detail, and accurate and timely delivery of information while assisting with multiple responsibilities.

The pay range is $77,000/yr. - $84,000/yr. based on relevant experience, plus bonus, laptop, and iPhone.

WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING
- Provide specialized technical project and service management support and supervision as required by DVL and our customers for generators and related equipment.
- Produce detailed scope of work (SOW) for DVL technicians to accurately and profitably complete generator start-up projects based on the job sold, including appropriate technical details.
- Ensure open lines of communication between all stakeholders: customers, sales, coordinators, service associates, and management.
- Take ownership of generator start-up at the designated step in the process.
- Arrange pre-startup site walks and checklist review with customer site contact/foreman prior to start-up being scheduled.
- Review scope of work with customer site contacts prior to start-up.
- Guide appropriate customer contact, such as the foreman, with generator installation procedures including location and technical details of pad, conduit runs, piping, etc.
- Create and deliver customer quotes for additional products, services, or cost-overrun scenarios where customer sites were not ready for start-up.
- Assist Generator Sales in creating submittal packages and quotes as needed.
- Advocate for DVL's generator business to current and potential customers.
- Recommend process improvements to Power Generation Sales Operation Manager and Service Manager and assist in implementation as assigned.
- Conduct project reviews for start-up and other new services as needed and assigned.
- Management of mobile generators: check-in/out process improvement, verification, repair tracking, and maintenance scheduling.
- Safely, efficiently clean generators that have been stored for a long period of time prior to customer walk through or delivery to site.
- Deliver power generation equipment as needed to customer sites.
- Work in a safe manner. Works with the Director of Risk Management & Safety and follows DVL safety policies, OSHA standard safety practices, and customer site safety requirements. Completes assigned safety training in a timely manner.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY
- High school degree required. College/Trade School degree preferred.
- Relevant Project Management training or certification (such as PMP) and/or experience.
- Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills.
- Recent power systems project management experience or related generator experience preferred.
- Generac experience, training or certification preferred.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, service manuals, panels and meters.
- Ability to navigate various sales and service software applications.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, coworkers and customers.
- Recent and relevant customer service experience.
- Excellent phone and email etiquette skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite - Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Valid driver's license to drive to customer sites.
