About the Job

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Shipping Crewing Manager to lead our crewing operations. The ideal candidate will possess at least 20 years of experience in the shipping industry, with a minimum of 10 years in a managerial capacity. This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic leader with a comprehensive understanding of tanker, bulk, and gas fleets to join our team and contribute to our continued success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and management of crew members across our tanker, bulk, and gas fleets.
  • Develop and implement effective crewing strategies that optimize crew performance and ensure compliance with international regulations and company policies.
  • Manage budgeting and budget control related to crewing operations, ensuring efficient use of financial resources.
  • Engage in strategic planning to support management decisions regarding business operations, development, and fleet expansion.
  • Manage relationships with crewing agencies, maritime institutions, and other relevant stakeholders to attract top talent.
  • Lead and mentor a team of crewing professionals, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and teamwork.
  • Monitor and assess crew performance, addressing any issues related to manning, training, or retention.
  • Ensure that all crew documentation and certifications are up-to-date and compliant with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including operations and safety, to align crewing strategies with overall business objectives.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in the shipping industry, with at least 10 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven experience and knowledge of tanker, bulk, and gas fleets.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to mentor and develop a high-performing team.
  • In-depth understanding of maritime regulations, crew management systems, and the crewing lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing industry dynamics.
