Job Description:

The Gas Origination Director will scope internal needs and create a plan to acquire assets and customers to fulfil this strategy. This person will work with natural gas trading, credit, legal, and risk to negotiate asset management agreements, pipeline releases, and purchase/sale agreements. He or she will spearhead internal processes to provide visibility and accountability to this tactical approach to the market. He or she will also work closely with the Head of Origination to close large, structured transactions and process internal initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage strategic marketing campaigns for new and existing markets.
• Ensure decisions and pricing are aligned with the short-term and long-term strategic goals of the company.
• Develops and maintains key customer relationships.
• Analyzes market trends and implement strategies in response to market conditions. Build and maintain profitable relationships in the assigned markets
• Identify and close structured transactions by fostering them across the organization to ensure organizational support.
• Lead and participate in all business planning and strategic initiatives for the assigned regions
• Create and maintain hedging relationships with external business
• Accountable for the development of the midstream and downstream portfolios
• Establish executable business plans across the gas business.
• Ensuring compliance with the Business Transaction Policy
• Present commercial strategies to new and existing customers to increase deal flow to mid-marketing and trading desks
• After deal execution, assist scheduling, logistics and front/back office with all post transactions when necessary
• Identify potential markets and counterparties of interest for long-term volume and portfolio growth
• Work with operations (all functional areas) lead to ensure operational efficiency and capability
• Identifying opportunities for improving best practices through issues arising from existing contracts or changes in the industry
• Assist the Head of Analytics in the implementation of our CRM to increase transparency across the organization
• Assist the Head of Origination in the implementation of origination development program (TBD) as an alternative track for internal talent development

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
• Minimum ten years of progressively responsible experience in deal structuring and interaction with customers across the spectrum from production to consumption.
• Demonstrate ability to consistently produce P&L
• Proven track record of innovation, creativity and success in closing customer business
• Able to understand and adjust to changing market conditions
• Self-motivated, team player, who can work in an open trade floor environment
• Ability to lead, develop and motivate employees
• Proven ability to influence others
