As a Senior Controllership Supervisor at Honeywell, you will hold a leadership position accountable for managing a team of professionals, overseeing comprehensive accounting control and compliance, and driving process design initiatives. You will play a crucial role in facilitating robust financial reporting, enhancing business partnerships, and leading process improvement initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounting, Control, and Compliance:
  • Own, manage, and coordinate end-to-end accounting and control processes, including period-end closing activities, and deliver a standard month-end close timetable ensuring compliance across entities. Ensure Journal & Account Recon are prepared as per policy to support US GAAP.
  • Ensure entity and process compliance with US GAAP and Honeywell policies, understanding technical accounting aspects such as Intercompany accounting, project accounting, revenue and cost accounting, assessment and distributions, and COPA cycles.
  • Ensure meaningful balance sheet reviews with quality commentary and accuracy & timeliness of quarterly variance schedules. Leverage standard analytics tools to identify issues or anomalies.
  • Drive process/control compliance, take action, and report deficient or overlooked controls, promptly notify relevant stakeholders. Lead and manage risk registers.
  • Review critical/aged balance sheet account reconciliations to determine exposure and drive closure of aged items. Periodically review documentation, complete timely and escalate to support audit (Internal/external) requirements. Ensure SOX (Sarbanes Oxley) compliance.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Required: 3-5 Years of Related Work Experience (Public Accounting or Manufacturing Accounting), handling financial statements of manufacturing companies with international presence, successful knowledge transitions, capitalized on leadership opportunities, and can provide meaningful examples (projects, mentoring)
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulations
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial consolidation tools
  • Must be a US Citizen

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Mentored or led a team of individuals directly or indirectly.
  • Master's Degree or 150 credits, CPA Candidate or CPA.
  • Experience with Public Accounting is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
