Field Service Specialist in Water/Wastewater Industry

Must live within 45 minutes of a major airport
General Description:
Services products and equipment as assigned. Starts up, identifies, analyzes and repairs water/wastewater treatment equipment and systems at customer's location. Perform preventative maintenance, site surveys, installations and modifications as needed or as requested by customers. Performs training at customer site. Troubleshoot basic control circuits. Determines parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to ensuring regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Equipment Installation & Maintenance: Install, commission, and maintain water/wastewater treatment systems, pumps, valves, and related components.
- Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose and resolve operational issues with mechanical, electrical, and chemical treatment systems.
- Field Support: Liaise with customer to provide on-site technical support, site surveys, inspections, maintenance of our equipment for water/wastewater treatment facilities, and provide feedback to Business Units for continuous improvement.
- Customer Training: Educate clients on proper equipment use, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and safety standards.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate service records, complete work orders, and provide detailed reports on equipment performance and issues.
- Emergency Response: Be available for on-call emergency service support as required.
Education and/or Experience:
- Education: Associate or Bachelor degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years of field service experience in water/wastewater treatment, or industrial maintenance.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Familiarity with wastewater treatment processes, pumps, motors, SCADA systems, PLCs, and related equipment.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to read mechanical and technical drawings
- Ability to perform extensive manual labor
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 100 plus pounds
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work in multiple types of outdoor environments
