Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, PLC/DCS systems, control loops, and low/high voltage installations.
Regulatory Knowledge: Thorough understanding of relevant safety and environmental standards.
Project Management: Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and experience coordinating multiple contractors.

Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Coordination
- Collaborate with project stakeholders (engineering, procurement, quality, etc.) to develop and refine E&I project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Participate in design reviews, providing constructability insights and ensuring alignment with overall project objectives.
On-Site Construction Management
- Supervise electrical and instrumentation teams (contractors, subcontractors, and internal staff) (around 700 people at peak) to ensure adherence to project specifications, timelines, and budget constraints.
- Oversee installation of electrical systems, control panels, instrumentation devices, and related infrastructure, ensuring quality and compliance with design documents.
Quality & Compliance
- Verify that all E&I installations meet industry standards, local/federal regulations, and project-specific requirements.
- Conduct routine inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety and quality guidelines.
Safety Leadership
- Implement and enforce site-specific EHS protocols, coordinating with safety officers to conduct toolbox talks and risk assessments.
- Address potential hazards proactively and ensure that proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures are followed.
Cost & Resource Management
- Monitor and manage construction budgets, preparing cost reports and forecasting for E&I scope.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization while maintaining project quality and schedule.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain comprehensive records of all E&I construction activities, including daily logs, change orders, and as-built drawings.
- Provide regular updates to project manager on progress, potential risks, and mitigation strategies.
