This Position reports to:
Manufacturing Unit Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to improving Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance in your manufacturing and site services assigned areas of responsibility to cultivate a high-performance culture with a strong focus on HSE. Each day, you will support the Ring Motors business by applying in-depth HSE knowledge and offering solutions and advice. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring effective risk management through HSE excellence along the ABB value chain.

This role is contributing to the Ring Motors - Process Automation Process Industries division in the factory located in Trapagaran, Spain. Main stakeholders are Manufacturing and Site Service Teams as well as the factory and the global business line management.

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Reporting HSE incidents to the management and relevant stakeholders and taking appropriate actions.
  • Facilitating, assisting, and providing guidance on incident investigations to learn better ways for mitigating risks.
  • Providing feedback to the management and employees on lessons learned and best practices from within their own unit and across ABB.
  • Supporting and driving behavioral change through the local implementation of group-wide and business-specific performance improvement programs and practices.
  • Taking care of the projects related to environment or sustainability due to circularity and zero waste to landfill

Qualifications for the role
  • Degree or Higher Degree in Engineering or similar technical career path, Health & Safety, Environmental science or related
  • +2 years of experiences in related files
  • You are immersed in HSE procedures in manufacture plants and site activities in international environments
  • You are engaged in the mining/energy industries
  • Ability to demonstrate your experience as a HSE technician
  • You are passionate about occupational health and safety and sustainability in the industry
  • You are at ease communicating in Spanish and English
