As a Painter here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for executing painting activities to support the production and maintenance of aerospace components. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and aesthetics of the finished products meet industry standards and customer expectations. You will report directly to our Operations Manager and you'll work out of our South Bend, IN location on an On-site work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the final appearance and quality of aerospace components, contributing to the overall success of our aerospace division.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Paint wheels, carriers, and torque tubes.
• Remove wheels individually from basket, using hoist if needed, and place on paint stand.
• Prime wheels using a spray gun.
• Apply top-coat of paint on each individual part using a spray gun.
• Move wheels from paint stand to rack, using hoist if needed.
• Manually move full rack into oven for baking cycle.
• Following baking cycle and cool-down, apply masking tape on each wheel to cover holes (e.g. holes for bolts).
• Return wheels individually to paint stand, using hoist if needed, and apply top-coat of paint using spray gun.
• Move wheels from paint stand to rack a second time, using hoist if needed.
• Manually move full rack again to oven for second baking cycle.
• Following cycle and cool-down, move wheels, using hoist if needed, to baskets and send to final assembly cell.
• Work must be completed within specific timeframes depending on production schedules.
• Update related paperwork/work instructions including computer records upon completion of tasks.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly manner.
• As a team member, demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems leading to continual process improvements and effectiveness of the team.

• 1+ years of experience in industrial painting
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a team environment
