The role:
The R&M Specialist will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of Weatherford's advanced tools and equipment. You will play a key part in diagnosing faults, carrying out preventive maintenance, and ensuring optimal performance of our systems. Your technical expertise will support our ability to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions to the oil and gas industry.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday; 8.00 -17.00.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain equipment, facilities, and work areas in a clean, safe, and presentable condition.
• Perform mechanical and structural repairs using appropriate tools and equipment, including hammers, hoists, cranes, drills, and precision instruments.
• Coordinate and oversee the rig-up and rig-down of TRS equipment, ensuring all operations are conducted efficiently and safely.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients and rig personnel, addressing concerns and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Operate and maintain advanced TRS equipment, including power tongs, torque turn systems, and casing running tools, ensuring optimal performance.
• Perform functional tests, inspections, and monitoring of equipment, adhering to specific work instructions and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
• Ensure all operations comply with Weatherford's Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, as well as industry regulations and standards.
• Conduct safety meetings, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and toolbox talks to promote a culture of safety on-site.
• Monitor and enforce safety practices among team members, addressing any non-compliance issues immediately.
• Oversee the maintenance, servicing, and repair of TRS equipment, coordinating with maintenance teams to ensure readiness for operations.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and inventory levels.
• Ensure all equipment is properly cleaned, lubricated, and stored according to Weatherford's standards.
• Complete detailed job reports, time sheets, and other required documentation accurately and promptly.
• Provide feedback and recommendations for continuous improvement in operational procedures and equipment performance.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and other stakeholders regarding job status and any issues encountered.
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of electronic and mechanical experience, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry
• 2-year College diploma is advantage
• Perform maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and monitoring of TRS equipment
• Critical thinking, active learning & listening, complex problem solving
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, strong judgment and decision-making to be in line with policies & procedures
• Capable to meet the physical demands that the role requires
• Information & task ordering & ability to identify when a problem may occur and, where possible, to understand the solution
• Ability to react effectively and efficiently in operating tools and machinery
• Ability to imagine how tools and products will look when preparing for assembly, repair, or modifications
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook
• Completed military service, certificate should be available in hand
• Intermediate level of English, both written and spoken
