Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
- Develop and maintain financial models to support an 18 month rolling forecast, budgeting, and long-term planning.
- Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed.
Capital Allocation:
Experience applying financial decision-making tools in a Capital Allocation environment such as:
- Cost-benefit analysis
- Net Present Value (NPV)
- Internal Rate of Return (IRR)
- Return on Investment (ROI)
- Payback Period
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of capital allocation decisions with organizational goals.
Monitor and report on the performance of capital investments, ensuring they deliver expected returns and meet strategic objectives.
Smartsheet Utilization:
- Leverage Smartsheets to streamline workflows, track project progress, and manage data effectively.
- Create and maintain dashboards, templates, and reports within Smartsheets to enhance team collaboration and visibility.
- Train team members on Smartsheets best practices and ensure consistent usage across the organization.
Utilize Flight Deck:
- Apply GE Aerospace's proprietary lean operating model, FLIGHT DECK, to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Use FLIGHT DECK tools and methodologies to identify inefficiencies, optimize processes, and enhance team performance.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure alignment with FLIGHT DECK principles and contribute to the organization's lean transformation goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in FP&A, capital allocation, or related financial roles of increasing responsibility.
- Proficiency in Smartsheets and other financial tools/software (e.g., Excel, Hyperion, ERP systems).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize and interpret large sets of complex data for communication with Executive Leadership.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams in a highly matrixed Environment
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the Aerospace & Defense or other highly complex manufacturing industries

- Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
