AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced and commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS) to oversee post-contract cost management and contract administration as part of the site supervision team on a Roads and Infrastructure Project. The successful candidate will be responsible for valuation of works, variation assessments, payment certifications, cost forecasting, and ensuring compliance with the contract terms and procedures.

This role requires a minimum of 10 years of post-graduate experience, including 7 years in post-contract quantity surveying for civil infrastructure projects, preferably within Qatar.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of post-contract cost control, including interim payment applications, cost reporting, and financial tracking.
• Evaluate variations and claims submitted by the contractor and provide detailed assessments with recommendations.
• Maintain the project's cost plan and monitor against actual expenditures to flag potential cost overruns.
• Verify the contractor's monthly payment applications and prepare payment certification in accordance with contract terms.
• Review contract correspondence related to financial or commercial issues and prepare responses in coordination with the Resident Engineer.
• Support the preparation of change orders, financial statements, and close-out documents.
• Monitor site progress in relation to BOQ items and report cost and quantity deviations.
• Liaise with discipline engineers and site inspectors to validate measured works and progress data.
• Prepare final accounts and assist in resolution of commercial disputes.
• Comply with contract management procedures and maintain records in their DCS.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field (from WHED-listed university).
• Minimum 10 years total experience, with at least 7 in post-contract cost management of roads/infrastructure projects.
• Grade A QS certificated.
• MRICS, MCIArb, or equivalent professional membership (preferred).
• Excellent command of English (spoken and written).
• GCC infrastructure projects.
• Proficient in MS Excel, CANDY, CostX, and document control systems (A DCS).
• Familiar with document management systems (DCS), MS Office, AutoCAD (viewing), and site-related software.

Key Competencies:

• In-depth understanding of reinforced concrete design, construction, and specifications.
• Expertise in QS post-contract functions: payments, variations, claims, and close-out.
• Strong contractual knowledge, preferably with standard forms and consultancy contract.
• Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to produce professional cost reports and commercial summaries.
• Proactive, organized, and able to work independently under pressure.
