Job Summary
The Heavy Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating company heavy vehicles to transport materials, tools, solid-waste and equipment to and from designated locations. This role supports construction and maintenance activities and involves operating heavy vehicles to transport materials, supplies and solid-waste. The Heavy Truck Driver must adhere to all safety regulations and protocols and collaborate effectively with team members to complete assigned tasks.

Job Summary
The Heavy Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating company heavy vehicles to transport materials, tools, solid-waste and equipment to and from designated locations. This role supports construction and maintenance activities and involves operating heavy vehicles to transport materials, supplies and solid-waste. The Heavy Truck Driver must adhere to all safety regulations and protocols and collaborate effectively with team members to complete assigned tasks.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Accepts instructions, assignments, and directions from the Foreman or General Foreman.
- Will comply with all ground guide rules and regulations in accordance with company standards and requirements.
- Operates Mack Toploader truck in order to perform trash collection at dumpster locations throughout the assigned area.
- Operates Ford Stakebed truck to collect solid waste from trash cans at multiple locations; waste food cans at DFAC as well as bulk trash as needed, scrap wood.
- Reviews and interprets instructions and supporting documentation to plan work activities accordingly.
- Ensures the safe and efficient delivery of materials, tools, and equipment between job sites or warehouses.
- Handles loading and unloading of vehicles, ensuring cargo is secured and transported without damage.
- Observes and follows all safety guidelines and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Regularly inspects vehicles and equipment for safe operation and compliance with company policies.
- Engages in frequent interactions with peers to ensure tasks are completed effectively as part of a team.
- Contributes to a highly defined and structured work process under direct supervision.
- Performs duties involving physical exertion, which may include lifting and exposure to external elements and job-related hazards.
- Handles routine exposure to minor hazards while following safety protocols to mitigate risks.
- Executes other tasks and activities as directed by supervisors to support organizational objectives.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
- Minimum two (2) years of active heavy truck driving experience.
- License, knowledge and skills in operating wheeled vehicles such as heavy truck with trailer combination.
- Ability to safely operate a vehicle in day or night-time, in all weather conditions, and in all types of terrain.
- Knowledge of cargo handling and hauling, techniques for safeguarding and protecting cargo.
- Knowledge of traffic and safety regulations, practices, and procedures pertaining to motor vehicle.
- Ability to judge road/traffic conditions and read maps to determine the shortest and safest route.
- Ability to interpret instructions, specifications, etc. related to motor vehicle, and preventative maintenance.
- Reliability and dependability to meet pickup and delivery deadlines and schedules.
- Ability to perform simple vehicular maintenance and keep records of vehicle operation.
- Perform other tasks as directed by supervisor.
- Able to work rotating shifts
- Fluency in Albanian and possessing an unrestricted right to work and reside in Kosovo.

- Preferably possess a valid ADR card
