The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, be a self-starter, and will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to:

• Operate a variety of heavy equipment and machinery
• Perform daily pre- and post-inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies
• Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management
• Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency
• Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment
• Other duties as assigned by management

Required Qualifications:

• Must have a dedication to safe work practices
• Mechanical aptitude/ability to diagnose and perform plant repairs as needed
• Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed
• Must be willing to work outside in a variety of conditions
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in heavy equipment is preferred, but not required
• Working knowledge of quarry utilities and equipment, including crushers, conveyors, scales, etc.
• Previous experience in a quarry environment
• Experience in welding and cutting
