CRC's Elk Hills Power Team is seeking to fill a Gas Plant Operator (Gas Processing) position in our Tupman, CA location.

Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for providing oversight of the day-to-day operations of Plant Inlet, recovery, fractionation, refrigeration system, gas compression, dehydration, heat medium - steam exchange and gas fired heaters, amine treatment, cooling tower, product quality, NGL product shipping down DOT pipelines (candidate will be DOT tested and qualified), controlling access and permitting of workers/contractors entering plant, oversee all work inside the facility, firewater systems, CSO/CSC checklist, PSV, firewater, and extinguisher inspections, other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager, Operations Supervisor.

• Conduct daily rounds of plant equipment to ensure that all equipment is running within operational parameters
• Work around high voltage electrical, high pressure steam, high pressure gas and hazardous materials
• Check for leaks, spills or other containment breaches, and correct these situations as necessary
• Promote, practice, and enforce plant safety procedures, and understand the correct use of personal and protective equipment
• Must be able to communicate any abnormal plant conditions to the Gas Controller and or control room operator
• Overtime required as needed for special projects, plant outages, vacation/sick leave coverage

• High School Diploma or GED with excellent mechanical and electrical repair skills
• Minimum of 5 years of oilfield experience
• Must be a team player, self-starting with good communication skills
• Good to excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with multiple disciplines
• Must be able to properly and safely wear all required PPE such as safety glasses, hard hat, steel toed shoes, supplied-air respirator, etc.
• Must have the ability to walkdown all plant equipment and record readings
• Must have the ability to perform minor maintenance on equipment
• Must be able to make necessary adjustments to equipment as needed
• Must have the ability to properly facilitate the LOTO system
• Must have Valid Driver's License & clean DMV record
• Must be able to lift weights up to 50 pounds and climb stairs and/or ladders
