Job Summary: Petrochem is currently seeking a Human Resources Coordinator in our Vancouver, WA branch office. This position reports to the HR Manager and supports the organization's mission, vision, and values by exhibiting the following behaviors: excellence and competence, collaboration, innovation, respect, commitment to our community, accountability, and ownership. This position supports the Human Resources efforts in Vancouver, WA, White City, OR and jobsites in the Pacific Northwest.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Primary responsibilities of the HR Coordinator include but are not limited to; will have an important role in recruiting and onboarding of both union and other employees, administering benefits, and will support other activities such as program rollouts, assist with audits, and general HR administration. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Supporting human resources processes by administering tests, scheduling appointments, conducting orientation, maintaining records and information
Scheduling clinic by coordinating appointments.
Recruiting Efforts.
Entering employee data into system of records
Maintaining employee information by entering and updating employment and status-change dat
Maintaining employee records
Maintaining confidentiality of Human Resources information
Welcoming new employees to the organization and helping direct to the appropriate resources
Managing employee bench/inactive employees
Maintaining quality service by following organization standards
Administering benefits (401k, medical, dental, vision, Life, short-term disability, long-term disability)
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Key Requirements and Education Experience:
Required High school or equivalent, Preferred bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
1-2 years of experience preferred.
Superior oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and professionally to all levels of employees and customers.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office as well as the ability to learn other customized software applications
Ability to learn and use multiple systems simultaneously including Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively with attention to detail and accuracy.
Demonstrated ability to respect and adhere to strict deadlines
Able to work well independently, self-directed, internally motivated
Well-developed team skills, unquestioned integrity.
The HR Coordinator must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle and prioritize multiple, competing tasks and demands and to seek supervisory assistance as appropriate.
Travel:
Must be able to occasionally travel to jobsites or other branch offices
