No experience / No degreeNES Qatar is looking to hire a Head of Technical Training for its oil and gas client based in Qatar. This is a direct hire role.
The main purpose of this role is Direct the design, development, and delivery of all technical training and competency interventions to support development of capabilities for Operations Group assets, to include Onshore/Offshore Refinery, Terminal, and Maintenance personnel.
You will also be responsible to:
1. Develop and implements training plans and processes to support the various Operations Group departments’ objectives for individual learning, training, and staff technical competencies.
2. Identify training needs and competency requirements based on Company direction and facilities changes, and coordinate with Asset and Division Managers, Division Heads, Head of Shift, Superintendents, Engineers, and Line Supervision to ensure that staff training meets competency assurance standards and relevant certifications.
3. Develop technical core competencies of the workforce and maintain Operations Competency Assurance processes.
4. Analyse and coordinate training and competency needs for Onshore assets, to include Maintenance, Terminal, Refinery, and Offshore to develop and implement classroom training, vendor training, and simulator training, to meet all training requirements for Operations.
5. Plan and implement all Operations simulator upgrades and develop new models to meet Company new project requirements for staff readiness and plant facility changes.

Must Have Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering
- 10 years experience in Oil and Gas industry procedures development, out of which 3 years in Training Supervisory roles
- Training and competency development experience
- Experience with Simulator development and training of Boardroom operators
