Perform welding inspections on pipe and structural components according to approved WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications) and project standards.

Monitor and verify joint preparation, fit-up, preheat, interpass temperature, welding parameters, and post-weld heat treatment (PWHT) where applicable.

Ensure that all welding activities comply with ASME, API, AWS, and project-specific codes and standards.

Review and validate welder qualifications, WPS, PQR, and welding logs.

Conduct visual inspections and coordinate with NDT teams for non-destructive testing (UT, RT, MT, PT).

Identify welding defects, issue NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) as needed, and monitor corrective actions.

Maintain detailed inspection reports and ensure traceability of materials and welds.

Interface with construction, QA/QC, and client representatives to ensure smooth coordination and timely resolution of welding-related issues.

Support quality audits and assist in continuous improvement efforts related to welding activities.

Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations during all welding operations.
Requirements:

Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical background.

Valid CSWIP 3.1 / 3.2 or AWS-CWI certification (mandatory).

Minimum 5 years of experience in welding inspection within the oil & gas or LNG industry, preferably on large EPC projects.

Strong knowledge of applicable international codes and standards (ASME B31.3/B31.1, API 650/1104, AWS D1.1, etc.).

Familiarity with NDT techniques and quality control documentation.

Fluent in English and Italian (both written and spoken).

Excellent attention to detail, documentation skills, and a proactive, safety-first attitude.

Availability for rotation or long-term assignment on site.
