Based in Zoetermeer NL there is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Buyer, who will bring valuable knowledge and skills to an established team.

What will you be doing?

The effective management of all third-party procurement and services. This includes sourcing, supplier management, procurement of goods and services, expediting, logistics, and warehousing. Also, operationally accountable for team members.

• End to end process from supplier identification, quotation request, negotiation, award and expedite Purchase Orders for equipment, parts, consumables, services, and provisions.
• Ensure the optimum commercial and contractual position is secured and maintained in delivering standard Supply Chain Management (SCM) activities (pre and post award).
• Plan and execute forwarding and expediting strategies to ensure timely arrival of goods and services without undue delay or penalty with clearance.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members to aid their development and ability to meet goals, while proactively setting and monitoring weekly KPIs.
• Contribute towards annual cost-saving targets, challenging supplier costs wherever possible and negotiating favourable commercial agreements.
• Support the SCM Team Lead (Aberdeen based) and proactively contribute to initiatives and objectives.
• Participate and conduct tasks as required to pre-qualify suppliers to the Company's Supplier Management System (SMS).
• Complete supplier performance assessments.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders and vendors to secure performance review and cost improvements.
• Proactively support internal clients such as vessel teams, ROV, and project teams with the performance of assigned SCM activities.
• IT system utilisation to deliver activities and share knowledge (SAP, SMS, and SharePoint).
• Operate within SCM and Company policies, processes, and systems. Produce quality metrics and reports.
• Perform activities aligned to best practice and core values, at all times striving to mitigate risk. Capitalise on lessons learned.
• Any other duties aligned to job role.

What experience would we like you to have?

• Established experience in a similar role within SCM/Procurement.
• Commercial/Offshore/Vessel industry exposure is beneficial, but not essential.
• Degree educated in SCM, Business Administration or other relevant area would be beneficial but is not essential.
• Membership / affiliation with role relevant professional body is beneficial but not essential.
• Knowledge of market/industry suppliers and service providers.
• IT Proficient, including Microsoft Office. SAP & SAP Ariba is preferred but not essential
