Wood is recruiting for a Training Coordinator (Local National) to join its Iraq business unit focusing on coordinating and facilitating the implementation of approved training courses for a Major Onshore Brownfield Project in Basra, Iraq on 5 days on / 2 days off rotation.
This role is a full-time on-site role in Basra, Iraq with travel requirement.

Key Objectives
- Coordinate and facilitate the implementation of approved training courses.
- Working closely with different training service provider to coordinate the actual delivery and implementation of all out of Iraq trainings
- Support in developing the annual training programs
- Determine and analyze the need for training in the organization.
- Monitor the attendance and performance of participants during training programs.
- Arrange in-house training and facilitate all required preparations and any necessary equipment- as needed and required.
- Maintain an effective relationship with all other employees at Administrative Dept. and other Depts., as well as all Departmental Managers
- Contact & coordinate with industry experts, training providers and other required services providers for best and quality delivery of all planned technology transfer & training programs
- Working with the training service providers who received contract awards to implement trainings out of the country to well plan and prepare for the actual delivery of awarded training/s- This is include receiving & reviewing training agenda, training material, instructors' CVs and training plan with the relevant BLs, and also working with the service provider on relevant travel and logistics arrangements .....etc.
- Create training schedules for all departments, track and create reports on the outcomes of all training courses and maintain training records for the company.
- Track any new training techniques and procedures and adopt them in the organization training programs as required.
- Gather and evaluate information from employees and management on previous trainings to identify weaknesses and areas that need additional training.
- Attend seminars and meetings to learn new training methods and techniques and use the knowledge to prepare and coordinate future training sessions.
- Track and report on trainings events completed.
- Inform employees on scheduled training courses and track their progress.
- Recommend training materials and methods, order and maintain in-house training equipment and facilities and manage the budget set for training.
- Establish and maintain relationships with all the Departments.
- Track and report on any issue on participants attendance of OOI Trainings

Expected:
- Minimum education requirements- Bachelor's Degree, in HR, or Administration
- Essential experience (2-3 years) experience in similar field/ role
- Preferably similar previous experience in working with IOCs International Oil Companies on planning, coordination, management & execution of various training programs.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience of working in a private or public company. Previous work experience as a Training Coordinator, Training Facilitator, or a similar role in a corporate environment is beneficial.
- Having a proven track record of conducting successful training programs is a plus.
- Knowledge about learning management systems, instructional design and e-learning platforms is an added value.
Technical & Specialized Knowledge & Skills Required:
- Training events coordination & management, HR and people development experience
- Technical competence / experience dealing with upstream and major project training and
- competency assessment activities
- Experience with logistics and administration of training facilities, able to manage
- documentation and record keeping
- Experience with managing training schedules and training venues
- Experience with journey management
- Experience with procedures and administration
- Competent computer skills; presentation, spreadsheets, document preparation
- Competent / experienced with Safety, Health, and Environmental requirements for Oil & Gas industry
- A minimum of 2-3 years in a similar role with IOC's
