Our client, a leading player in offshore energy services, is seeking a Survey Support Engineer (Electronics) to strengthen their Technical Department.

Function description

This role focuses on the maintenance, testing, repair, and preparation of electronic equipment used in offshore survey, positioning, and remote intervention activities. You will work closely with onshore and offshore teams, ensuring high equipment availability and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough testing and calibration of survey and ROV equipment before deployment.
• Conduct fault-finding, maintenance, and repair of electronic systems and data networks.
• Interface survey sensors and systems with vessels, ROVs, and both online and offline platforms.
• Support operational teams remotely during offshore activities, troubleshooting technical issues.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment status, repairs, calibrations, and inventory tracking.
• Follow and update preventive maintenance schedules, ensuring all equipment is operationally ready.
• Collaborate with internal technical teams on system upgrades, modifications, and new technology integration.

Requirements

• Technical diploma (MTS level) in Electronics or equivalent (HNC level).
• Solid knowledge of analogue and digital electronics, including interfacing techniques and signal processing.
• Previous experience in offshore survey operations, pipeline, or subsea construction projects is preferred.
• Familiarity with ROV systems, acoustic positioning, and general survey equipment is a plus.
• Strong diagnostic, fault-finding, and repair skills.
• Ability to prepare work packages and technical documentation.
