Job Description Summary

Digital Technology Site Leader for GE Aerospace's Repair shops in Singapore. This leader will be responsible for overseeing shop cyber security, compliance, operations, and program execution, while supporting the deployment of new technologies. The role will involve partnering with the MRO-Repair organization to drive continuous improvement within the SQDC framework. Additionally, the leader will collaborate with product and shop teams to ensure the successful transition to a new Repair ERP system at the site. This position oversees all digital technology across three Repair shops, supporting 2,000+ employees, with five or more direct reports.

GEAESS is our largest site for engine component Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), responsible for more than 60% of our global repair volume.

Role Overview:
  • Set IT strategy & roadmap to drive digital improvements across the site/plants
  • Perform as part of the shop leadership team representing information technology.
  • Partner with the business to participate in lean/ process improvement initiatives & enable business transformation leveraging digital tools and Flight Deck fundamentals.
  • Act as a "Trusted advisor" by the site executive.
  • Lead in the evaluation / implementation/ modification of various software solutions, including ERP, MES & Analytics solutions.
  • Work with central digital product teams to resolve systemic recurring issues or enhancement needs.
  • Collaborate and partner with business, cyber security & central product teams to expand OT technology for enablement of connected flow, OEE and automations.
  • Work on machine instrumentation initiatives to enable enhanced business operations.
  • Manage and coordinate the deployment and support of shop floor PCs.
  • Provide on-site support for networking infrastructure.
  • Coordinate IT infrastructure work with applicable teams.
  • Drive adherence to CMMC, Cyber Security Compliance, Enterprise Vulnerability Management (EVM), SOX and other regulatory system & process compliance.
  • Provide immediate response to cybersecurity threats.
  • Proactively monitor network performance (WAN / LAN / WLAN) and escalate issues.
  • Manage and coordinate all Digital Workspace technology.
  • Support all printers, MFPs, on-site A/V and telecommunications equipment.
  • Escalate IT issues that are affecting site production & provide on call support as necessary.
  • Lead and execute hiring, retention, and talent development in an area of technical, application, and domain expertise aligned to team vision, building a more diverse workforce.
  • Manage his/her direct reports and drives career development in line with organizational strategy and talent needs.
  • Perform continued team financial reviews and ensure budget goals are met.
  • Drive strategic digital initiatives.


Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate would be a strategic leader with strong background in digital technology, operations, and compliance, preferably in aerospace or manufacturing shop environments. They should have a proven track record in digital transformation, technology deployment, and leveraging lean principles for process improvements. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential to manage projects, develop talent, and drive results within the SQDC framework.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in digital operations, IT, or related roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
  • Proven track record of leading digital transformation initiatives and driving operational improvements.
  • Strong knowledge of digital tools, systems, and technologies relevant to manufacturing or aerospace industries.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working IT in a manufacturing environment
  • Experienced in design, performance, availability and scalability of the infrastructure
  • Knowledge & experience managing ERP and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate with manufacturing technologies
  • Demonstrated understanding of Lean concepts. Experience with lean manufacturing principles and methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, Standard Work, Hoshin Kanri).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage team/product operations within own budget
  • Demonstrated ability to drive projects based on business strategies and customer requirements
  • Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements and estimating efforts
