James Lane Mechanical is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented HVAC Commissioning Technician to join our dynamic Special Projects team in Wichita Falls. In this pivotal role, you'll leverage your expertise to ensure HVAC/R systems are started, commissioned, and maintained with the highest quality, efficiency, and reliability standards.

What You'll Do:

• System Startup & Commissioning: Execute thorough startup procedures for HVAC/R systems, including verifying control wiring, checking duct connections, performing vacuuming, charging refrigerant, and conducting pressure tests. Your precision ensures each system operates at peak performance from day one.
• Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Use your problem-solving abilities to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and control issues swiftly. Your quick thinking will keep projects moving forward smoothly, minimizing downtime and maximizing client satisfaction.
• Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks on newly installed systems. Your proactive approach will contribute significantly to system longevity and reliability.
• Controls Support: Assist in the design, installation, and programming of HVAC control systems, enhancing both operational efficiency and client satisfaction.
• Project Collaboration: Participate actively in project meetings, coordinate with supervisors, and effectively collaborate across teams to deliver projects on schedule and within specifications.
• Customer Communication: Provide regular project updates, addressing client questions and ensuring transparency throughout the commissioning process.
• Site Assessments: Conduct on-site evaluations to assess job conditions, identify best practices, and recommend necessary adjustments to optimize system performance.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate service records, job reports, and documentation on time, ensuring compliance and clear project tracking.

What You Bring:

• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of HVAC, mechanical, or controls field experience is required.
• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration principles, mechanical operations, and control systems.
• Certifications: EPA certification required; NATE certification preferred. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certifications are a plus.
• Licenses: Valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record, insurable under company policy.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including working at heights, in confined spaces, and in varied environmental conditions.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional teamwork and communication skills, professional demeanor, adaptability, and meticulous attention to detail.
