Wood is recruiting a Materials Controller (Offshore) to join our Operations business supporting one of our long-term client partners on their brownfields oil and gas assets, including iconic Northwest Shelf offshore projects and facilities in Western Australia. This full-time offshore role is available on an ongoing contract basis with an even 2:2 FIFO roster and departure from Perth, Western Australia. Start date from early July 2025.

Wood "Operations" APAC West business delivers Brownfield's engineering, procurement, construction, optimisation and technical services to the Energy industry. Wood enjoys long-term partnerships with some of the region's most prominent Energy and LNG producers with operations in Western Australia, Northern Territory, and Southeast Asia.

Reporting directly to the Materials & Logistics Lead and Supply Chain Manager, the successful candidate will support and execute full life cycle activities relevant to Materials Management in an Offshore environment, in accordance with Woods' procedures, vision and values.

You will be liaising with a range of other Supply Chain user groups, including client, supply base and marine contractors, and other third parties to ensure all materials and equipment are received, marshalled and shipped in accordance with both client and Wood procedures and internal material controls.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting directly to the Materials & Logistics Lead and Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for undertaking the receipt, storage, movement and control of all materials located offshore in support of the client's asset and its operations. You will be liaising with a range of other Supply Chain user groups, including client, supply base and marine contractors, and other third parties to ensure all materials and equipment are received, marshalled and shipped in accordance with both client and Wood procedures and internal material controls.

QUALIFICATIONS

Expected:

You will be an Australian citizen or be eligible to hold Permanent Residency (PR) to work lawfully in Australia. You also will have an ability to pass a pre-employment Offshore Medical (e.g. OGUK), including drug and alcohol screen.

Tickets & Qualifications:
  • MISC (Maritime Security Identification Card)
  • TBOSIET or BOSIET/FOET with CA-EBS (Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System)
  • Qualifications for dangerous Goods by Sea & Air

In addition, you will:
  • Varied and detailed work experience in the industry which would allow understanding of and exposure to key material control and logistics concepts and principles
  • Be commercially astute with a "solutions mindset" with safety at the heart of everything you do including sound management of risk, consistent with safety and commercial requirements
  • The ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and coordinate & prioritise activities accordingly
  • Proficient user in MS Office Suite (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams,) and experience with ERP systems (i.e. ERM, Maximo, Oracle, SAP)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Be customer-focused with an ability to develop trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders while balancing operational excellence to contribute to the competitive advantage of #teamwood.
