Production Engineering Manager
Your role and responsibilities
Responsible for assuring all aspects of quality are maintained within own area of responsibility including APQP PPAP FMEA ,8D/PPS. Ensure product, systems and processes are performing reliably and offer / implement improvements where possible. Work cross-functionally to complete project-based work on key issues. Fulfil daily support to production, engineering & R&D to meet customer demands. Apply robust problem-solving DMAIC, PPS methodologies to ensure the continual improvement of product and process, proactive resolution of customer complaints, issues and non-conformances. • Maintain the quality management system within own area, conduct periodical process audits to ensure compliance and identify improvement opportunities • Work alongside production, design, sales, engineering, R&D on new product introduction ensuring flawless on time launch. • Contribute technical / mechanical / electronic engineering expertise to new product design and introduction to the manufacturing process • Using practical problem-solving techniques to improve the operational right first time performance for parts, processes and equipment. • Develop control plans and inspection methods to create reliably performing processes • Daily support to the Production department in the resolution of issues which may prevent attaining daily targets • Utilising drawings and standards work with suppliers to ensure conformance and on time closure of issues of non-compliance • Evaluating operational systems and recommending improvements to eliminate causes of malfunctions.

Qualifications for the role
- At least 3 years' experience of providing QA support in a manufacturing environment
- Track record in new product introduction and quality assurance,
- Experience of working in cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication skills
- IT skills - including, MS Office, SAP
- Project management skills
- Six Sigma Green belt preferred
- ISO9001 - Audit Training preferred
