LiveWire is seeking a Solar Site Safety Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in the development, implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of LiveWire's EHS programs. The Manager will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements on assigned projects, playing a crucial role in maintaining a safe work environment.
The position requires a proactive approach to safety management, with the Manager expected to lead project site safety initiatives and collaborate closely with project and construction teams. As the Solar Site Safety Manager, you will be responsible for leading EHS functions on the project site, providing site focused safety direction and oversight to team.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in safety management, with a focus on the power generation industry.

Duties and responsibilities:
- Strategy and Policy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive safety policies and procedures specific to utility scale EPC solar projects.
- Conducting Site Inspections and Audits: The manager regularly inspects the site to identify and assess potential hazards, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Investigating Incidents: In the event of an accident or near-miss, the manager investigates the incident, determines root causes, and recommends corrective actions to prevent recurrence. The Manager also completes Apparent Cause Evaluations and implements the recommended corrective action.
- Developing and Implementing Safety Plans: They develop and implement site-specific safety plans, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and industry standards. Observe, ensure, and assist the site team with executing the Site Safety Program, which includes Job Hazard Analyses (JHA), and Daily Field Observations (DFOs) throughout the project site. Provides project specific safety training to field and management employees as applicable.
- Monitoring Compliance: The manager monitors compliance with safety rules, procedures, and regulations, ensuring that everyone on site follows safe work practices. Provides cyclical training to site teams as necessary i.e.: First Aid / CPR
- Collaborating with Stakeholders: Develop and maintain working relationships with Project Manager, subcontractors, on-site medical team, local occupational physicians, EMTs, fire department and law enforcement officials.
- Documentation and Preparing Reports: The Manager prepares and submit reports on safety performance, incidents, near misses and corrective actions to management and relevant authorities. Keeps site safety credentials current and accurate.
- Regulatory Safety Compliance: Understands federal and state occupational safety and health regulations and monitors regulatory changes as they occur.
Requirements:
- Must be willing to spend all working hours at the solar site, unless otherwise advised
- Self-motivated and self-managed; high energy with positive disposition
- Self-accountability to work autonomously.
- Strong computer skills- Proficient in Microsoft Office; specifically, Excel and Word.
- Protect and maintain company and employee confidentiality.
- Handle multiple safety-focused tasks efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Continuing safety education required
Qualifications, Education and Experience:
- 10 years' relevant field experience and technical qualifications, with a strong background in electrical safety, ideally gained through experience on utility-scale or solar projects.
- OSHA 30(minimum), NFPA 70E, and First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications
- Core Competency in Electrical Safety and Lockout Tagout
- Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with all levels of people.
- Highly detail oriented with problem solving and analytical skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and make critical decisions, highly organized with ability to multi-task.
- Strong written and oral communication skills
