We are looking for a Drilling Data Performance Engineer to join our Aftermarket group in Norway. This key role involves analyzing and interpreting drilling data to ensure optimal run performance during automated drilling operations, a crucial aspect of our contractual agreements with customers, and an area of increasing importance in our aftermarket organisation. You will support the delivery of customer programs designed to enhance our automation solutions by improving drilling and pipe handling performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance and support to Service group field personnel and customers.
  • Analyze drilling data to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Participate in operational planning sessions and assist in setting KPI targets.
  • Create and present detailed performance reports with actionable insights.
  • Maintain accurate records in tracking systems and ensure quality documentation.
  • Troubleshoot automated systems and provide optimization recommendations.
  • Drive innovation by proposing enhancements based on data insights and customer feedback.
  • Support improvements in data infrastructure and visualization capabilities.


Qualifications & Skills:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Strong understanding of drilling operations and related equipment.
  • Experience with drilling control systems (e.g., Amphion, Cyberbase).
  • Familiarity with automation systems (e.g., NOVOS, MMC).


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Driller, Assistant Driller, Drilling Engineer or MWD Engineer.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Grafana.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with SQL or basic programming.
  • Demonstrated ability to convert raw data into performance dashboards and KPIs.
