We are looking for a Software Product Manager to join our Digital Technology team based at Trinity House, Nottingham. As a Product manager you will help to build and develop products and capabilities for our customers as we continue to grow our UK Solutions business. We are building a flat and agile organisation and you can help shape the way that we work and operate. We are looking for a hands-on Product manager that can help build our capability across our business as we continue to grow.

Software Product Manager
Here's what you'll be doing
The Product Manager is responsible for solving complex customer and business problems and should look to find innovative new and exciting ways to leverage the latest technology to solve these complex customer problems.
The role will see you:
- Work closely with the respective business managers to define the product vision and strategy
- Responsible for "Change" and "Run" for a specific product and/or capability area
- Build, prioritise and refine the backlog aligned to the product vision
- Identify new ideas and technology to improve the product
- Responsible for ensuring that any solution aligns to the service delivery and performance requirements
- Define the MVP and test & learn approach for the chosen product
- Ensure that the commercial position for the product/capability is appropriate for the business
- Ensure technical debt is appropriately identified and managed for a product
- Have direct responsibility for creating, executing and prioritising the UK solution technology roadmap for a particular product/capability area. They need to work in partnership with the technology and operational teams at all times.
- Really understand how our systems work, identify problems and refine solutions in the best way to leverage existing and new capability.
- Bring technology, people and processes together across UK Solutions to innovate improvements throughout the product lifecycle.
- Have a firm understanding of the business and the varying needs of different types of customers and will be a critical role in bringing all the right people together to deliver the roadmap.
What we need from you
- Experience of agile tools and techniques
- Experience of managing product backlog
- Strong financial and commercial awareness
- Ability to identify, communicate and solve complex problems
- Ability to establish, develop and maintain effective relationships with both technical and non technical stakeholders up to Senior Manager level
- Experience of having direct responsibility for all business analysis activities on large scale (£500k+) IT software development projects through the full life cycle
- Ability to translate technical details into language easily understood by the business
- Ability to plan and organise effectively and take the initiative within agreed parameters
- Experience of the production of requirements and functional specifications
