This position reports to
Procurement Manager
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the purchasing and logistics-related activities in the Procurement function to support the businesses. Each day, you will execute assigned activities as per ABB standard procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by delivering and participating in training programs as required to ensure compliance and to foster professional development. You will be mainly accountable for: • Manage Direct Material Purchasing Request as assigned, which mainly focuses on <$3k per order transition. • Identifying, sourcing, and acquiring goods and services for the organization at the best value. • Negotiation of contracts and managing supplier relationships. • Ensuring procurement adheres to regulations and company policies. • Preparing purchase plan and evaluating products and services. • Managing suppler classification, contracts and maintaining accurate records • Ensure smooth and efficient internal & external communication for problem solving and solutions • Analyze industry and demand trends and support category management with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies • Must ensure compliance with company policy and regulations related to purchasing, such as competitive bidding policy, ABAC (anti-bribery & anti-corruption) laws and import/export regulations etc.

Qualifications for the role
- A bachelor's degree or master's degree preferably in Supply China Management/ International trade / Business management / Machinery / electronics, or a related field.
- >6 Years of Work Experience, minimum of >4 years of experience in Supply Chain Management and/or Sourcing is typically required for this role, preferably with direct material sourcing background in manufacturing industry.
- Ability to work in systematic and structured manner to ensure tasks are performed efficiently with minimal use of resources, time, and effort.
- Analytical and influence others, drive self-learning and keep continuous Improvement, result oriented and taking ownership, teamwork spirit and good communication & coordination skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Professional certifications such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or CPSP (Certified Professional in Supply Chain) are valued.
- Fluent in verbal and written English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools in Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI, capable for e-Sourcing & Ariba and SAP
