Job Purpose

Monitor and analyze the global physical and paper oil markets in order to report on current and future market trends, key influences and to assess the current and future value of ADNOC's hydrocarbons year-round (Crude oil, Condensate, Naphtha, Jet A1, Gasoline, Gasoil, Fuel Oil, Ethylene, Propylene, Sulphur, LPG, Base oils, Ethane, Carbon Black, Petroleum Coke, Benzene & Paraxylene).
Conduct in-depth analysis and present outcomes to Senior Management, within ADNOC corporate levels and across various stakeholders. Provide guidance and feedback on Market Research techniques and methodologies, in addition to creating market intelligence reports for supporting MS&T management.

Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 1)

Marketing Research Initiatives
• Gather, monitor and analyze information related to macro/micro aspects of the world energy industries and economies related to the global oil industry.
• Prepare reports and presentations of oil & gas markets through textual daily (including weekends & public holidays), weekly, monthly and quarterly report; covering historical, current and projected data. Including, desk presentations and ad-hoc reports for higher Management and sales/trading staff on prompt critical issues concerning the global oil and gas market and price influencers.
• Forecast prices for ADNOC hydrocarbon products covering short/long term and other ADNOC business line directorates and other companies.
• Contribute to the evaluation of oil product sales, purchase tenders and ad hoc transactions. Including feedstock comparative analysis covering the new trading initiatives.
• Assist in collecting and analyzing the data market and price trends to determine strategy for ADNOC portfolio, client negotiations, and UAE participation in OPEC.
• Identify commercial sales opportunities and evaluate business openings in new markets to ADNOC.
• Act as MS&T focal points when participating in ADNOC future projects that require price projections, regional/country fundamental analyses, and technical/commercial expertise and advice.
• Supervise and evaluate the most reliable and informative data sources and computer software packages and recommend to Management cancellation of and new subscriptions to information sources, oil market consultants, oil industry studies and computer systems.

Generic Accountabilities

Supervision
• Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
• Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.
Budgets
• Provide input for preparation of the Section / Department budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.
• Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
• Implement approved Section / Department policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Section's / Department work programs in line with Company and International standards.
Performance Management
• Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Section / Department in line with the Company Performance framework.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
• Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
• Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
• Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
Reports
• Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management.

Internal Communications & Working Relationships

• Regular work related contacts with VP, Department Manager and all staff and team members within the Function on matters related to the Marketing strategy and policies, operations, administration, people, HSE and integrity.
• Contacts with senior management of all Functions in MS&T.
• Regular contacts with other Directorates (like Finance, Upstream, Downstream, Group IT, etc.).
• Regular contact with Management of ADNOC Group Companies.

External Communications & Working Relationships

• Contacts with third party service provider, suppliers, consultants and industry experts.
• Frequent contacts with ADNOC Shareholder and partners for discussion, exchange of information / expertise purposes.

Minimum Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Economics / Business Administration / Finance / Accounting.

Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills

10 years of sales and marketing experience within the Oil & Gas industry including intensive technical sales, customer relation management, account management, and business development work.

Work Condition, Physical effort & Work Environment

Physical Effort
Minimal, involving sitting, walking, standing and computer operations.
Work Environment
Normal air-conditioned office environment.
