We are seeking an experienced and autonomous Site HR Leader to oversee all HR functions at our manufacturing site in Bucharest, Romania. This critical onsite role requires a strong background in HR management, with proven expertise in managing union relationships and navigating complex labor environments. While this role does not have direct reports, it is supported by other HR functions, including HR Operations and Talent Acquisition, to ensure seamless execution of HR strategies and processes.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Employee Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with employees and union representatives, ensuring open communication and collaboration.
  • Union Management: Lead negotiations, manage collective bargaining agreements, and address labor-related issues effectively while ensuring compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
  • HR Strategy: Develop and implement HR strategies that align with GE Aerospace's business objectives, focusing on talent acquisition, retention, and development.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to local labor laws, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Performance Management: Oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, evaluations, and development plans.
  • Training & Development: Identify training needs and implement programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
  • Workforce Planning: Collaborate with leadership to forecast workforce needs and develop staffing plans.
  • Change Management: Support organizational change initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and effective communication.
  • HR Metrics: Monitor and report on HR metrics to drive continuous improvement and support decision-making.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Extensive HR management experience, with a focus on unionized environments.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry. Experience in the aerospace is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of Romanian labor laws and regulations.
  • Proven experience in collective bargaining and union negotiations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and influence stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in HR systems and tools.
