JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood Group PNG Limited is currently recruiting for an HR Coordinator to be based at the LNGP office in Port Moresby on a Walk-in / Walk-out schedule (5-days on & 2-days off). Reporting directly to the In-Country HR Manager, this role is responsible for coordinating and timely delivery of all HR Services and administrative support to the PNG LNG Contract. The successful candidate will be able to work with limited supervision to coordinate end-to-end HR services.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinating the mobilization and demobilization of personnel within the PNG LNG Project site.
  • Working closely with the ISOS team and external medical services providers to ensure medical checks and fitness for work assessment for new starters are done on time.
  • Laise with all relevant stakeholders to ensure new starters are mobilized, onboarded and inducted on time.
  • Work with the in-country Training Department to schedule training, including Wood and client inductions, as required
  • Ensure sign-on and payroll documents for new starters are completed, reviewed, and submitted to Shared Services for timey processing.
  • Laise with management to ensure employee Change of Detail requests are reviewed and approved by management in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with Shared Services to ensure employee change of details requests are procced on time, employees are issued contract variations, and payroll is updated for correct payroll processing.
  • Collect and review payroll documents for all PNG Nationals and other Country Nationals and provide summary table to payroll every PPE for timely payroll processing.
  • Coordinate and administer Wood Group National Employee Salary Sacrifice Policy.
  • Liaise with Payroll and Accounts Payable to ensure employee salary sacrifices are deducted correctly and service providers are paid on time.
  • Laise with all stakeholders (Management, Accounts Payable, Supply Chain/Procurement) to ensure profile for new service providers are reviewed, approved and setup in the system.
  • Manage and administer leave accruals for all national employees, ensuring employee leave balance are accurately updated and captured correctly on time sheets for payroll processing.
  • Liaise with payroll to resolve employee queries and issues with pay.
  • Laise with payroll to ensure employee Nasfund contributions and NCSL savings & loans are uploaded on the Employer service portal on a timely manner.
  • Liaise with Nasfund and NCSL to resolve to employee queries and issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure employee queries on employment terms and conditions are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Liaise closely with Construction Planners regarding roster alignment and movement of personnel
  • Liaise closely with the HSE and ISOS medical team to ensure regular random D&A tests are scheduled and administered in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with all stakeholders to ensure employees demobilization and offboarding is done in a timely manner.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • A bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of work experiences in HR, preferably in Coordinating HR and Payroll services.
  • Have a sound understanding of PNG Labour laws and regulations that governs employment in PNG.
  • Be a team player and work with minimum supervision.
  • Able to provide high quality HR advisory and HR administrative support to a portfolio of approximately 100 - 400 employees, including expatriates.
  • Able to work autonomously in a busy environment.

Skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication to interact with employees and management, adapting to communication systyle and approach as appropriate to suit the audience.
  • Ability to build relationships and handle employee concerns with empathy.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain detailed records.
  • Possess strong organization and planning skills to effectively manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Able to mediate disputes and address grievances.
  • Familiar with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and other relevant software, preferably Oracle People.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office user - Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Basing understanding of Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Able to work autonomously in a busy environment
  • Have sound understanding of the PNG Salary Sacrifice/Salary Packaging policy.

This role is open for PNG Nationals only. Candidates must have full work rights in Papua New Guinea to be considered for this role.
