Job Overview

Weatherford is seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating specialized lifting equipment, loading and unloading materials, and ensuring the safe and efficient movement of equipment within our facilities. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance while contributing to the success of our operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate lifting equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, and jib cranes, ensuring proper handling and transportation of materials
• Load and unload equipment from trucks, adhering to safety guidelines and procedures
• Perform manual handling of equipment when necessary, following proper techniques to prevent injuries
• Fold and move equipment within storage areas or workshops, maintaining organization and efficiency
• Install and replace removable load grip devices and mechanisms as required
• Pre-order fuel, lubricants, and spare parts to ensure seamless operations
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by line management, ensuring timely and safe execution

Requirements

• Minimum of 2-4 years of related experience in material handling or a similar role
• Ability to operate hand tools, forklifts, cranes, and other lifting and securing devices
• Proficiency in basic mathematical and measurement computations
• Valid state motor vehicle operator's license and forklift truck license
• Customer-focused mindset and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Adaptability to change and multi-tasking capabilities
• Willingness to work closely with personnel at all levels and external contractors

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Certifications

• Specialized trade certification for operating lifting equipment
