This position reports to

Sales Support Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to create and finalize bids, estimates, and quotations tailored to customer specifications, requirements, and budget constraints, ensuring both market competitiveness and high profit margins for the company. You will also be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the balance between all ABB units and the customers under your purview. This position operates on an onsite work model and is a key contributor to the Electrification Smart Buildings Business Area. Reporting to Sales Support Manager. You will be mainly accountable for: Bid Development: Create competitive bids and estimates by evaluating the most suitable product combinations and relevant technical and commercial factors. Ensure that all tenders are documented promptly and in detail, including precise cost calculations. Preparation: Manage all facets of bid preparation, encompassing technical specifications, financial assessments, and project management elements, clearly outlining pricing and trading terms. Coordination Efforts: Guarantee timely and quality contributions for bid preparation, managing external resources for translations and necessary internal approvals. Documentation Management: Collect and organize all documentation related to offers and orders, tracking assumptions and decisions made throughout the development process. Provide regular updates on bid status and analyze the reasons for both successful and unsuccessful tenders. Risk Identification: Recognize potential risks associated with bids and contracts, actively participating in the Risk Review process as outlined by ABB policy. Information Coordination: Compile and systematize all essential technical and cost-related information required for proposal creation. Client Engagement: Establish and nurture strong relationships with customers to comprehend their needs, ensuring a positive experience throughout the sales journey. Provide necessary technical assistance to Sales Managers during customer meetings.

Qualifications for the role

  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
  • 5-7 years of experience in electrical or proposals field.
  • Familiarity with Electrical projects/ products and installation in Low Voltage (LV)
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • ERP System SAP Knowledge Advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of technical and product management aspects related to bidding and quotations.
  • Supporting Business and Branches with RFQ'S/Tenders/Technical Support.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster effective customer relationships.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven attitude.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and maintain timely documentation
